This well-loved box does have some normal wear and tear due to age. It also has some scrapes and scuffs to the outside, as well as some discoloration on the inside, perhaps from tarnish discoloration setting into the fabric. Due to these defects, the price has been adjusted accordingly. 
We have not discovered the key to the lock yet, in the stack of tiny keys that we have, and will keep looking
